Mickey Crowley, one of the most respected names in college basketball officiating, was officially named as the Coordinator of Men's Basketball Officials for the Ivy and Patriot Leagues in the summer of 2002.
Crowley was the supervisor of men's basketball officials in the Atlantic 10 for more than a decade. He has nearly a half-century of basketball officiating involvement, starting as Supervisor of Officials for the Catholic Youth Organization in Jamaica, N.Y., in 1954. Beginning in the 1960s he officiated in many Division I conferences, including the ACC, the SEC, the Big East and the Atlantic 10 as well as both the Ivy and Patriot League.

His 31-year officiating career includes NCAA Division I National Championship Games in both 1989 and 1991, more than a dozen NIT Championship Games and a variety of international competitions all over the globe.
Crowley was awarded the Naismith College Official of the Year as the nation's best in 1990. In 1993, the National Invitation Tournament also honored Crowley with the NIT Officials Award. He has also been inducted in five Halls of Fame for his duty and service to the game.
Crowley and his wife, Pat, reside in Holbrook, N.Y. They have five grown children, including a daughter, Terri, who is a Division I Women's Official and has called both Ivy and Patriot League games.
